All Things In Common

Beloved, I hope and pray my email finds you doing well on this Wednesday. We seem to be moving, ever so slowly, closer and closer to how things used to be; although, I caution you to not be too quick to run back to your old normal as God is birthing a new normal for us day by day. In this new normal, coming forward in these most turbulent of times, our opportunities to be more loving, more patient, more kind, more Christian have become more available. What do I mean? Who would have thought that we would all be in need of certain things? Money helps to buy food, clothing and shelter; but, money cannot buy toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins when none is on the shelves...no matter how

Happy Memorial Day!!! Was It Worth It?

Beloved, I hope and pray that my message finds you healthy, safe and well on this 2020 Memorial Day. I also hope and pray that you will not find the subject line of this message offensive in any way for it is truly meant to honor those who have given their lives in the known wars and known battles in defending our country and it's people as well as those who have fought the less well-known wars and battles that have also kept us safe from harm. I thank God for our deceased armed forces for paying the ultimate price. Did they know when they were going into battle that they would not return to family and friends? On the other side of glory, did they believe that they would have made the same

Are You In Or Out?

Beloved, I hope and pray that my message finds you doing well as God continues to watch over us in acts of covering, keeping, provision and protection that only He can truly provide. I hope and pray that you feel God's love in your life and that you are so full of it that you have to show it, share it, and pour it generously into the lives of others. Here we have another wonderful Wednesday, full of hope and expectation that the love of God is richly bestowed upon us because His love knows no bounds except to the extent that we reject Him to embrace our sins. When it comes to our sins, we should know that every thought, every decision, and every act has a consequence in our lives. Some are

2020 Summer Mini Lessons

Church Family, As we come to the end of our journey through The Beatitudes this evening at HOPE Wednesday, I am so thankful and blessed for those who have sojourned with us during this time. It has truly been quite wonderful to have so many of you connect and participate. I hope and pray that as you have read, studied, contributed and listened that you have also learned and grown as is the desired outcome for all of our teaching ministries. While this journey is ending, the teaching goes on. As we have been faithful in the teaching and learning during past summers, we will continue to do so this summer. I have attached a document with our schedule and ways to connect for our 5 Summer Mini

Farewell Celebration For Tremair

Church Family, Our beloved Treimar, Charlene Alexander’s grandson, will be returning to Baltimore to be with his family there. We want to send him off in style and let him know he will be missed. Please join us on THIS SATURDAY, MAY 16 at 2:00 in the church parking lot to say, not good bye, but "See you later." His grandmother, Charlene, will be bringing cupcakes and water to help celebrate. At this time, we will be lifting Tremair up in prayer for God’s blessings over him and his family. If you can come by, even if you choose to stay in your vehicle, wave, and briefly speak encouraging words to Tremair, we know it will be greatly appreciated. Let us send him off feeling the love of Zion Me

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

My beloved church family, What a wonderful day we have had. I am so thankful for your acts of love today for Treimar, Charlene Alexander's grandson, in him preparing to head back to Baltimore tomorrow with his mother, Kim. What a joy it was to see so many of you this afternoon where we practiced our social distancing (sort of) and let no distance be felt between our love for Treimar. As he told us, he was not going to say goodbye, just see you later. We look forward to seeing you again soon, Treimar. Beloved, it did my heart so much good to see those who I love so much. And then, and then, and then, the Pastor's Aide Ministry organized a drive by (the good kind) at our home to celebrate

There Is No Other God

Beloved, I hope and pray that my email finds you well, blessed and knowing that you are highly favored by the Most High God. I also hope and pray that our mothers are still basking in the glow of your lovelight shone upon them as you showed them how important, invaluable, and incredible that they are to you. We know that the love that we share with each other is a reflection of the love given to us by our Heavenly Father, God. During times like these, dealing with the pandemic, the coronavirus, COVID-19, we need to keep our focus on God and do our best to remember that God always has His focus on us. We are blessed beyond what we know. We are favored beyond what we deserve. And, we loved b

Summer Mini Lessons

Church Family, After tonight, we have two more sessions left with our study of The Beatitudes and then we will break for the summer. As we have done for the past few summers, I like to know what topics are of interest to you that we can cover in one session during the summer months. We will spread the lessons out as some may be, emphasis may be, traveling this summer and all will likely not be available for each session, hence we have one topic for one evening with no carryover. Please give me three topics that are of interest to you and I will survey the responses to come up with a schedule. Also, if anyone is interested in teaching a particular topic, please let me know. God has blessed

You Are Really Special To God!

Beloved, We are another Wednesday, another week, another month closer to regaining some of our freedoms that COVID-19 has robbed us of. Prayerfully and hopefully, you are doing everything within your power as guided by the Holy Spirit to be wise and discerning in keeping yourself safe and healthy during this time. Your family needs you to be safe and healthy. Your friends need you to be safe and healthy. We, your church family, need you to be safe and healthy. And, God needs you to be safe and healthy. Why? Because you are really special to your family, friends, and church family. And, you are really special to God. Now, many of us know the song, "Yes, Jesus Loves Me" with the end of t
