Jesus Is Speaking. Are You Listening?
StartFragmentBeloved, It made my Thanksgiving complete to see so many of you on Sunday. As we say, "Everyday is a day of thanks giving." So, thank you for giving me some of your time as we came together to worship our God. It is important for us to come together because there is always someone or something competing for your mind, your heart, even your spirit or soul. You need to know who to listen to when the world and others are trying to pull you in one direction or the

More on repent/repentance
Beloved, It was so wonderful to see all of you last night. We had a blessed conversation about Joseph which I pray was helpful to you. One of the words and concepts discussed was repent and repentance which I defined as “changing one’s mind”. We have typically localized it to simply turning from sin and I believe a broader definition is more accurate and helpful. I found this explanation and thought I would share with you in the hope that it could help the understanding. Que
What To Do In Times Like These? Give Thanks!
Beloved, It is early in the morning and I am operating on God's time. What I mean is that God does not slumber or sleep, as scripture tells us, and everyone else in my house, except for me, is doing just that. I look outside and can see that street lights are on but house lights are off. So, others are slumbering and sleeping too. I am not worried about anything in particular. I am just up because God woke me up. And, thank God that I woke up. It means that God still ha

Thank You To Our Veterans
Church Family, We have been blessed with the presence in our church those who not only serve God but have also served our country. We thank God for your service in all realms of your life. We appreciate you for being the role model that you have been. And, we admire your faithfulness in making a positive impact in the world. May God continue to bless you and smile upon you! Be blessed, Rev. Cain
A Chance To Show Love
Church Family, The Missionaries are collecting gift cards for Thanksgiving in lieu of baskets this year. A request has been made to collect 12 $25 gift cards. So far, Zion has only collected 3. We are a growing church and we are a loving church. Can we show our love this Thanksgiving by getting those other 9 gift cards by this Sunday, the deadline? Please contact Sister Ramona Griffin-Noble to help make this happen. I know Zion will come through. Be blessed, Rev. Cain

Faith For What?
Beloved, As we have begun this Thanksgiving season, let us reflect on the reasons that we have to give thanks. We should be thankful for the ability to rise on a given day and see the sun in the sky. We should be thankful that we have the opportunity to use our time and talents in ways that we choose. We should be thankful for our health. We should be thankful for our jobs. We should be thankful for the ways in which our material needs are being met on a daily basis. We s
