Your Presence Should Make A Difference...For The Cause Of Christ

Beloved, As I type out these words to you, it is cold outside, below freezing. And, if you are reading this, you and I are still alive. Praise be to God. Unexpected things are going to happen to us in our life journey; but, praise be to God that we are still alive. Because we live, we can proclaim to others that He lives. Who is He? He is our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. And, as is sung in the Gospel hymn, "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow. Because He lives, all fear is gone. Because I know, He holds the future. And life is worth the living just because He lives." Your life story, your life song should echo these words such that wherever you go, your presence makes a diff

Wow!!! Great start. Let’s keep it going!

Zion Memorial Church Family, You keep giving me more reasons to thank God for you. I praise God for your coming out last night. We had a really good start to our new HOPE Wednesday study. Let’s keep it going and let’s invite others on the journey. As I wrote yesterday, you are AMAZING and the AMAZING YOU showed up last night. And, remember, God loves you and I love you too! See you Sunday. Be blessed, Rev. Cain

Have You Shown The World The Amazing You?

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, It is HOPE Wednesday. YAY!!! I know it is cold outside. I know that it is a little rainy outside. But, the temperature is a supposed to rise and we will be worshiping inside this evening where we have light, heat, and power, Duke Energy and HOLY GHOST power! As you know, I am always trying to find an excuse for us to be together and not to stay away from each other. With this being our first HOPE Wednesday of 2019, I am going to boldly ask and encourage ALL to come...and to ALL bring somebody. The church has purchased 50 books for us to study. I want us to have the high quality problem of running out of books. I do not want to create a libra

You are saved but are you following

Beloved, Here we are on another Wednesday and we have so much to be thankful for. We have life as evidenced by you reading this email. We have life everlasting as evidenced by your confession of faith. We have hope in this world and hope for the world to come. We are blessed. I pray that you are safe after the storm that swept through and kept us from gathering on Sunday. I am prayerful that we will all be together this upcoming Sunday. I always miss you when we are not together. It is our common hope in Christ and confession of faith in God through Him that binds us together as a church family. That church family aspect of our being is revealed in our membership. But, we would be like

Homegoing Services For Jan Bailey

Church Family, With a heavy heart, I am sending this message to announce the homegoing services for Jan Bailey, younger brother of our own Reverend Dr. Nikita "Joel" Bailey. He will be funeralized at The Greater Church (formerly Greater Cleveland) located at 5095 Lansing Drive on this Saturday, January 5th. The family visitation will be held from 12-1pm and the funeral services begin at 1pm. If you can attend, I know the family will appreciate it. In either case, please keep the family lifted up in prayer and, as the Holy Spirit guides you, find ways to help bring them comfort during this time of transition. Be blessed, Rev. Cain

Church Family, I am asking that you please keep in mind the following upcoming activities at Zion. First, we have the Budget Summit on Saturday at 2pm. Something About The Name Jesus

Beloved, As we have just begun 2019, I hope and pray that you are progressing well. We all have our ups and downs in life; but, we also have our hope in God through Jesus the Christ as guided by the Holy Spirit. Do know that the third part, the Son, of the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - is incredibly important to us as Christians. There is some thing about the name Jesus. Of Himself, Jesus said in John 5:21-23, "Indeed, just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes. The Father judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor th

New Year, New Day, New Way

Beloved, First, I hope and pray that your new year in 2019 has started off tremendously. 2018 is gone. We can remember but we cannot revisit. How exciting it is that God has given us a new year to embrace in which we can be embraced by Him. I do believe that 2019 will be a fantastic year for Zion Memorial, a year of growth in our collective health, wealth and relationships in all four realms of our existence - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It is a new year. Today is a new day. The old is gone and God has given us a new way. In terms of the new way, Isaiah 55:2-3,5 tells us, "Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doe
