Praying For ALL
Beloved, Yesterday's storm left some within the church family without power. Many have had it restored while others have not. Let us be mindful and prayerful to consider all during this time. And, if we are made aware of anyone in need, please pray and think of how we can help meet any needs that may arise. If we do not know, we cannot help. So, please let us know if you need help. At a minimum, let us all lift up and think of others during this time and pray. Also, Tues

Burden Or Blessing?
Beloved, Here we are at the end of October, the 10th month of the year, the 8th month that we have had to deal with, contend with, battle with the coronavirus, COVID-19. Other issues have been revealed and swelled during this time to give rise to the inequities, inequalities and injustices of a broken world. There is much to complain about, much to get upset about, much to get depressed about. But, is all that we are going through right now just a burden to be carried or is

NC Attorney General Josh Stein worshiping with us tomorrow
Beloved, Through the efforts of Brother Kerry Peay, NC Attorney General Josh Stein should be worshiping with us tomorrow morning. He may have a few words to share during the time of our pastoral comments. As you know, I have not and do not endorse political candidates on behalf of Zion Memorial. We all should be thoughtful and prayerful in deciding who we, as Christians and as individual citizens of the United States, believe merits our vote. But, I do believe in helping u

Are You Tired Of Being Tired?
Beloved, As we are rapidly approaching the end of the month of October and close to embarking on a new month, I am excited about all that God is doing in and through our lives. We have been blessed with God's covering, keeping, provision and p p rotection during this season of COVID-19 as well as the social, civil, economic and political unrest that is unfolding before us. Unrest, the opposite of rest, is an appropriate word for these times. Are you tired? Are you tired of

Have You Done It Yet?
Beloved, WE HAVE MADE IT!!! We are at the end of another month thanks to God's covering, keeping, providing and protecting. Has it been easy? No. But, by the grace of God, we have made it. When we think about making it, what is the process that we follow? What is our procedure? What is our game plan for our lives? In the word of God, the writer of the book of Hebrews gave us a process, a procedure, a game plan for our lives. It is quite simple - lay aside, run, and loo

Keep On Believing...God Will Answer Prayer!
Beloved, This morning, I greet you in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. It is in His name that we are called brothers and sisters. It is in his name that we have hope in today and for tomorrow in spite of our past. It is in his name that we believe in Heaven beyond this earth. We should praise His holy name. And, how do you praise His name continuously? You pray and you believe. Two scriptures, not exhaustive but illustrative, tell us that prayer should b

NC Phase 3 for COVID-19 and Zion Memorial
Church Family,
After conferring with the Deacons, I wanted to let you know that we will continue with our current congregational protocols in spite of NC moving into Phase 3. I am concerned that as many have taken license beyond what previous phases have allowed, this shift may only accelerate that dynamic. As such, in an effort to keep us safe and healthy, I believe it best that we continue to follow our established protocols. I wanted to make this an active, overt, reve
