First Sunday

One difference is that we will have communion. For communion, for those in the sanctuary, please get your communion cups prior to entering the sanctuary. After communion, please throw your own communion cups away and do not leave them in the sanctuary to help our social distancing efforts. For those not joining us in the sanctuary, please try to come by the church by 2pm tomorrow to get communion cups or make at-home provisions as you have done previously. Looking forward to connecting with all in whatever form you choose - in sanctuary, Facebook live or ZOOM teleconference. We will praise the Lord together in person or virtually. Be blessed, Rev. God Still Loves You

It would be easy to lapse into a story about how we got over because we tried real hard, were smart, were lucky, knew the right people, fate was on our side, there are two sides to every coin and ours came up heads instead of tails; but, we would be missing the point and leaving someone incredibly important out of the story. You see, beloved, you are still here right now because God loves you. Now, when I mean you are still here, I mean with some semblance of peace in your spirit, calm in your heart, clothed in your right mind with a reasonable portion of health and strength. You see, some people are with us but they are nowhere near their best selves on their way to becoming better version

Another Reminder for Sunday

In an effort to keep our gatherings safe, healthy and blessed, I am sending the following as a reminder: As a reminder, if you are uncomfortable with coming right now, that is fine. Continue to connect with us as best you can. All options for connection previously available will continue to be practiced. Also, if you have been recently ill or are currently ill, out of concern for you and respect for others, please do not come until you know that you are truly well. In addition, if you knowingly have been exposed to someone who may be susceptible to COVID19 and you have not been tested or think you may possibly have contracted the virus and need to get tested, please get tested before you

Stay Connected

In days like this, I also hope and pray that you value your relationship with God, as a child of God, and your relationship with the church, as a part of the Body of Christ. For, when you gave your life to God through Jesus Christ as guided by the Holy Spirit, that is what you did. You became a part of the Body of Christ. As a part of the Body of Christ, as with any other body, you are only a part if you are connected. If you are not connected, then you are not a part of the body. That does not rob you of your salvation or your Christianity; but, you are robbing yourself of being a part of the best relationship that you will ever have, connection with your other brothers and sisters in C

Prayer

Basically, what I've been praying about... The whole world should be praying this now. I got all choked up as I prayed it. Let’s bow our heads and pray:🏾🏾🏾 Eternal Father, You made the whole world stop spinning for a while. You silenced the noise that we all have created. You made us bend our knees again and ask for a miracle. You closed Your churches so we will realize how dark our world is without You in it. You humbled the proud and powerful. The economy is crashing, businesses are closing. We were very proud, we thought that everything we have, everything we possess was the result of our hard work. We have forgotten that it was always Your grace and mercy that made us who we are. We’r

Protocol for Sunday

I am excited about our upcoming weekend with the drive by walk through on Saturday and worship opportunity on Sunday. I want to thank all who have worked diligently in getting us ready to open up. as I have stated previously and I want to reinforce today, this is an opportunity and not an obligation. We are not tempting God and trying our faith. We are trusting God to safely come and gather as we, individually and collectively, are being guided by the Holy Spirit. As a reminder, if you are uncomfortable with coming right now, that is fine. Continue to connect with us as best you can. All options for connection previously available will continue to be practiced. Also, if you have been

Save Some Hope For Someone Else

Now, beloved, as we have to sometimes encourage ourselves and remind ourselves to encourage ourselves, we are a part of something bigger than us, the Body of Christ. When a part of your body gets injured or ill, it impacts your whole body. If my foot hurts, I hurt. If my arm hurts, I hurt. If I get congestion in my throat, nose, or chest, I am sick. What impacts the part impacts the whole. Beloved, so it is with the Body of Christ. As such, it was never, is not, and never will be God's plan for you to just look out for you and yours and hope others do okay. That Western form of Christianity needs to be sanitized like we try to sanitize our living spaces from the COVID19 virus, our curre

God Is Making A Way

I make no excuse and just offer these words as explanation as I seek to always meet my commitments to God and you, my church family. I trust that you will seek to understand and to forgive as God understands and forgives us. We believe there is no condemnation in Christ and that God seeks to continuously bless us because He loves us. For Ephesians 1:3-4 tells us, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love.” Beloved, it is not so much what we do for God that matters as it is our response to
