And Your Worry Got You What?

Beloved Zion Memorial, It was such a blessing to see so many of you on Sunday. I have truly missed you and am glad to be back with you. I also am so appreciative of your cards, calls, emails, texts, and gifts during my time of healing after my surgery. I pray that you will pray for me; but, I pray that you will not worry about me. As our message was given on Sunday, instead of worrying, I hope that you will take it to God. You see, God has all of this in His control. My surgery has hindered me; but, it did not kill me. Therefore, I am not going to act like I am dead. I am going to keep on doing what God will allow me to do, trusting and believing that He has greater in store for me to

Do You Know The Who, What And Why of YOU?

Beloved, How I missed you on Sunday and how I am so looking forward to seeing you again soon. We have the budget presentation this evening at 6:30pm. We have the Black History Program on Saturday and we have worship service on the last Sunday of February coming up. I plan on being there and I hope you will also. We should come together often as a church family because coming together helps to remind us of who we are, what we are supposed to be doing and why we are supposed to be doing it. If we spend too much time in the world that we are supposed to be in but not of, we will find ourselves being more like the world that we are in but not supposed to be of. And, in time, we will find tha

Update on Charlene Alexander

Church Family, We have had a few of the family dealing with illness as of late and I want to update you on Sister Charlene Alexander. I got this message from Trustee Carol Perry: “Hi Rev. Cain, Charlene told me to let you know that she is home. She is doing well, but no visits or phone calls for the next 3 days. She said she just needs to rest.” Beloved, prayer works and prayer changes things. As God has moved and healed, let us praise Him. As others are still going through, let us continue to pray to Him in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit that God’s healing be plentiful in Zion and elsewhere. And, as we pray and as we praise, remember, God loves you and I love you t

Happy Valentine's Day

Heaven Is Your Home

Beloved, If someone were to ask me where I am from, I might answer Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, United States of America, Planet Earth, Milky Way Galaxy. That is important but only to a point. Where I am from, where you are from, is a starting point in life. Everyone started somewhere. Everyone is also going somewhere. When I gave my life to Christ in the summer of 1990, at the age of 23, I had a new starting point in life. I also had a new destination in life. I was from Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina, United States of America, Planet Earth, Milky Way Galaxy; but, and I thank God for this but in my life, I was now headed to heaven. When I go from countr

Living The Life

My beloved church family, We are so blessed to have God. We are so blessed to have family. We are so blessed to have friends. And, we are so blessed to have each other, Zion Memorial. It all comes with the package of being children of the Most High God. And, it all comes when we, you and me, are willing to live the life that God has in store for us. How are you living? Are you just making it day to day? Or, are you living for the day that will never end? Are you struggling to survive? Or, are you striving to live victoriously? Are you one who complains? Or, are you one who proclaims the goodness of the Lord and all of the blessings that He has brought into your life? Again, how are you
