Jesus Was Born To...
Beloved, We are just a few weeks away from Christmas Day. Children, young and old, are excited or getting excited as we approach this day of victory and triumph for the whole world. We choose to celebrate by giving and getting gifts while often rarely reflecting on why we are giving and getting gifts. The response that it is because it is Christmas marks a time of year; but, as Christmas becomes more and more commercialized, do we miss out on the real meaning? Jesus was no
Still Thankful!
Church Family, I was up reading scripture and thinking about you, Zion Memorial. I know. I know. It is not Wednesday and it is not a special day except that this is the day that the Lord has made and we should rejoice and be glad in it. In this season of the year, I know that we are supposed to be happy and joyful. But, sometimes life happens and it can be difficult to be what the world says we should be. We have loved ones who are sick. Yesterday, I attended a funeral fo

Keep On Thanking God!
Beloved, My incredible, wonderful, awesome, amazing church family. My Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Family. Sunday was a phenomenal day with Sunday School, morning worship, and one of the most fantastic Pastor's Aides Anniversary celebrations that I believe we have seen in a long time. You showed up with the Holy Spirit and we had a high time in the Lord. Union Baptist has given me many positive accolades for our hospitality, warmth, friendliness and love. God
A thought
Church Family, Wanted to share this thought with you. Your peace of mind will be determined by where you place the pieces of your mind. God promises you peace if you give your pieces to Him. Maybe this thought will help somebody today. Be blessed, Rev. Cain
Thanksgiving Letters
Beloved, A few have shared their letters. I was hopeful and still am that we could use this as a unifying effort within our church family so that most, if not all, would share. Is it unique? Yes. Is it right? I believe so. Should you do it? You do not have to but I am prayerful that you will. We have two more Sundays left. Don't you have something in your life to say to God that, if we heard it, would encourage us all in our Christian journey? Share it. Pray about it and,
All In The Family
Beloved, It is Wednesday, HOPE Wednesday, and I am looking forward to seeing all of you this evening. Next week, I get to have Thanksgiving dinner with the Cain family, my blood family. Tonight, I get to feast on the word of God with my treasured church, my under the blood of Jesus family. I love both and I know I am blessed to have both in my life. With both families, as scripture tells us, they will know us by our love. We have all kinds of people and personalities in ou
God Has Always Been There For You
Beloved, In this season of Thanksgiving, I am so excited for all of us. The Rams and the Aggies are thankful for homecoming celebrations and victories. I pray you enjoyed the festivities and are ready to be back with us through the holiday or Holy Day season as I like to call them. I just love Thanksgiving and Christmas and then the anticipation of the New Year. In our time with family and friends, it is easy to revel in coming together over dinners, parties and festivitie
Thanksgiving Letters
Church Family, Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday and us sharing our letters of thanksgiving to God. Please share in this opportunity to praise God and encourage each other. We will read a few each Sunday of November. Keep it to one page. You do not have to try to tell it all at one time. God knows it all anyway. We just want to submit ourselves to Him in an act of humility and gratitude. Do you have to do it? No. Should you do? I think so. Let us do this together.
