Power On For CAYA (Come As You Are) Sunday Tomorrow Morning
Beloved, The power was off at the church after some testing taking place earlier this morning; but, just as Jesus rose again, the power is back on and Zion Memorial is on. Being fifth Sunday, we are having CAYA (Come As You Are) Sunday. So, you do not have to wear your Sunday best but some may want to show off what they got for Christmas. No matter how you show off, I just want you to show up. The message is "Jesus Is Waiting On You". Come and hear what Jesus is waiting on
Power Off Briefly
Church Family, The power will be off at the church from approximately 8:30-10am this morning for some testing. If you have activities at the church scheduled during this time frame, please be advised that a delay would prove beneficial. Do know this will not disrupt morning services and I am excited to see all of you tomorrow. And, remember, God loves you and I love you too! Be blessed, Rev. Cain
Christ Has Come And Made Us New!
Beloved, I sincerely hope and pray that your Christmas Day celebration was one filled with joy, peace and comfort surrounded by loving family and friends. I also hope and pray that you found some way to keep the Christ in Christmas. Finally, I hope and pray that you have kept the Christ in you to continue to help you to see the blessed revelation of God as you face each day. Our past is history. We can remember it but never revisit it. Our present is our story. We can liv
Merry Christmas!!!
My beloved church family, It is EARLY on Christmas Day and I am up like when I was a small child running into Aunt Alma’s and Uncle June’s bedroom in Chattanooga, Tennessee asking, “Is it time yet?” anticipating when I could go into the living room and open my presents. Now, I am anticipating the joy that I will prayerfully see on the faces of others throughout this day as they, like when I was a small child, open their presents. But, right now, I am so humbled and so full as
He Has Given You Reason To Praise Him. So Rejoice!
Beloved, We are one day away from gathering together tomorrow for our last Sunday service before Christmas Day. I am excited to see all of you soon. We are also less than three days away from celebrating Christmas Day. I am excited to see that day again. We should be excited to see every blessed day in the land of the living. Why? Philippians 4:4-7 tells us, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is nea
The Answer Is In The Word
Church Family, First, yes, I know it is Tuesday evening; but, I am traveling on Wednesday and wanted to make sure I got out our Wednesday word...even if it is a few hours early. Second, I had a blast with our Seniors at The Barn Dinner Theatre show, Christmas Christmas Christmas. You had to have been there. It was a really good time. Deacon Richard Carter and I were even honored with the opportunity to participate, unwillingly (at least for me), in the show. Again, you ha
What Jesus Gave Us For Christmas
Zion Memorial Church Family, First, I so hope and pray that you have weathered this storm well. We have had a bit of cabin fever and finally were able to shovel out a path to get out of the house for a few hours yesterday. I pray that you will continue to be safe and warm and let the church family know if you need us in any way. I missed you on Sunday and hope that the video message I sent helped in some way to bring appreciation and respect to the fact that God has covered
Happy 74th Church Anniversary
Church Family, First, I hope and pray that you are safe, warm, and have what you need during this storm. If not, please let me or others in the church who may live close to you know how we or they can help. While we cannot physically be together, by the presence of the Holy Spirit and our faith in God through Jesus Christ, we are always connected and never alone. With the help of Brother Kim Spears, I was able to record the following brief message in recognition of our 74th
