An Hour of Worry Or An Hour of Prayer
Family, I am excited about our coming together this evening for Bible Study as we continue our journey through the book of Job. I believe that the revelation of the character and nature of God coupled with the sometimes difficult understanding of God in the midst of our suffering is a blessing that we are receiving through this study. I pray that you too will be engaged, involved, and present with us. This Bible Study opens up something that I think all Christians need to g

Are you wise?
Beloved, Many of us admire those who know exactly what to say, when to say it and, most importantly, how to say it. We call them wise. Can all of us be wise? Perhaps. James 3:13-18 tells us, "Who is wise and understanding among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not be boastful and false to the truth. Such wisdom does not come down from above, but is eart
Services for Sister Nelsie Wright
Beloved, As I have made you aware, Sister Nelsie Wright departed for her heavenly home on this past Saturday morning. The celebration, her homegoing services, will take place at Zion Memorial on Thursday, September 21st, at 1pm with visitation at 12:30pm. I ask that you be in prayer for the family as we prepare for the service and for them to feel the covering and presence of God as they deal with the loss. Let them know you are there for them. Let them feel your love. Be bl
Prayers for the Wright, McCall and Fennell Family
Church Family, Earlier today, Sister Nelsie Wright took her final breath and received her final rest on this side of glory. I was able to spend some time with the family and we prayed together. I believe the healing from the pain of loss has begun; but, they are going to need our prayers and our presence. As you are led by the Holy Spirit to respond, please do not hesitate. Respond. Keep them in your prayers! Be blessed, Rev. Cain

Rest
Church family, We were blessed with a full week of activity this past week and I pray you felt the presence of God through it all. It has been impressed upon me that after such fervent commitment from so many of you, we need a little time to catch our breath as a church. We need to rest. So, we will not have the executive committee meeting this evening or Bible Study on Wednesday. We will take this week off for those specific areas related to me calling for your partial or c

You Are A Living Testimony
Beloved, I pray that my note finds you being blessed and knowing that you are blessed. We have come to call Wednesday "Hump Day" as it is in the middle of the week. I pray that Wednesday as well as the other six days of the week are your "Hope Days" as God continues to reveal that you are truly saved and are a witness to others of what you have received because of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Did you know that hope is not something you should just have but that it
