ZMMBC Homeless Shelter Visit

Monday, February 18, 2019

7:15-8:30 PM

Thank you all so much for sharing God's love by volunteering to help serve the Homeless in Winston-Salem. We want Zion Memorial to help make a positive change in the lives of others.

I have the following individuals to help serve at the shelter:

MAX NUMBER ALLOWED IS 6 PEOPLE

1. Cynthia Cain

2. Nakia Samuels

3. Jillian Benson

4. Gloria Moore

5. Rene’ Lee

6. Victor Little

We will meet at First Presbyterian Overflow Shelter 300 North Cherry Street at 7:15. PLEASE WEAR YOUR ZION MEMORIAL TSHIRT IF YOU CAN. VAN SERVICE WILL NOT BE PROVIDED

-- We ask that you be at the shelter between 7:00- 7:15pm

Check in guest at 7:15. Bring fully prepared dinner for 26 guests (there is no access to kitchen facilities), including 32 bottles of water. Set tables, serve dinner to guests at 8:15, and clean up.

I have the following individuals to bring the listed items:

Lasagna (Enough for 26) - Alfreta Jones

Salad and Salad Dressing (Enough for 26) - Gloria Moore

Garlic Bread (Enough for 26) - Gloria Moore

Dessert/Little Debbie's (Enough for 26) - Alberta Williams

Bottle Water (NEED 32 BOTTLES OF WATER) - Gloria Moore

Sweet Tea (3 Gallons)- Doris Adams

Please bring your fully prepared items with you to church on Sunday and we will take them home to deliver on Monday or email (or cal/textl) me if you'd like to make other arrangements at 336-391-8060.

Helpful Hints: Protein is expensive to purchase on the street for our guests and is very much appreciated. Our guests often have limited or zero access to regular dental care, so hard fruits and raw vegetables are often difficult for them to eat. Please prepare generously for 26 hungry guests; second servings are appreciated by our guests if available, as well as bread and dessert.

Minimum age for volunteering is 18, or 16 or 17 with an adult

Thanks for all you do and for letting God's love shine through you! If you have any questions don't hesitate to email, call or ask.

Sis. Cynthia Cain
