He Is Risen And You Are Forgiven!!! Happy Resurrection Sunday!

Beloved,

I am typing out this message to you as I am watching the sun rise in the sky on this Resurrection Sunday, this Easter Sunday. Deep darkness is grudgingly yielding to a faint light that is growing brighter moment by moment. The sun is rising.

Beloved, after three days away from the world, beginning on Good Friday, our Holy Scripture tells us that Jesus, Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Messiah, the Only Begotten Son of God, rose at a similar time over 2000 years ago. Death and sin marred the world and His light came to change things forever.

I did not set my alarm clock to get up at this time. Something inside me said, "Get up."

Jesus raised others from the dead by speaking a word over them. The last one was Lazarus.

God the Father raised God the Son from the dead in cooperation with God the Holy Spirit. God spoke to God and said, "Get up." And, God got up, not for God, but for me and you.

God, the Triune God, did this so that humankind, all of us, could receive salvation, forgiveness for our sins, and eternal life.

Without Resurrection Sunday, this world is still a dark, dreadful place with fleeting moments of happiness as interruptions of the lack of meaningful redress for a world full of sin. Some are satisfied with that and live like that.

With Resurrection Sunday, hope lives beyond the hopeless, faith lives beyond the fear, and love lives beyond the hate because salvation lives beyond the sin. Some are overjoyed with that and live like that.

Beloved, I hope and pray that you will celebrate this day, Resurrection Sunday, as the day that Jesus is risen and the day that you have the choice to be forgiven for your sins and to live into the love of God shown to you that you can and should share with others.

Happy Resurrection Sunday!!!

I hope to see you soon as we gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ.

The sun is still rising as God is calling forth this new day.

Let the Son rise inside of you as God calls you, the new you, the forgiven you, into this new day.

Be blessed,

Rev. Cain
