Wednesday Noonday Prayer

My Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Family,

First, I miss you and I love you. I look forward to when we can be together again.

But, we have a choice in life. We can dwell on what we do not have or we can make the best of what God gives us.

As your pastor, I am going to encourage you to always make the best of what God gives us.

And, in this time when we cannot come together as we would desire, we are making use of technology to bridge the distance that has become a part of our regular, daily existence.

We have been blessed to be able to livestream worship services as well as now adding a conference call line beginning on Sundays at 11am.

We have been blessed with church conference calls on Monday and Friday at 1pm to check in with each other.

We, as your recent emails will attest, have been blessed to be able to video conference and teleconference HOPE Wednesday via ZOOM technology.

So, we are connecting in a variety of ways.

Now, I would like to offer another point of connection for something that is vital to the life of the church family, prayer.

I have spoken with Sister Valerie Bailey, leader of the Prayer Ministry, and we have agreed to host a Wednesday Noonday Prayer time, via the conference call line, starting tomorrow.

Given that we do not have our regular altar call, we want to make sure that the church family can connect to pray or be prayed for in offering words of praise and petition, all in an atmosphere of thanksgiving to God and expectation of more blessings from God. We want all, even those who are not members of Zion, to join with us to know that we are hearing each other, are present with each other, and are praying for each other.

During this time, we have an incredibly powerful and impactful opportunity to make a difference in each other's lives by going to our Heavenly Father in prayer.

So, we will gather to pray at noon on each Wednesday. The Prayer Ministry will lead us in coming together during this time.

As a reminder, the call in number is (617) 941-8778.

I am hopeful and prayerful that we will gather to pray as a church family.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Be blessed,

Rev. Cain
