Weekly bible messages

As I type this message to you, I am thinking a little about people who God has allowed me to meet and interact with throughout my life.  Some of those interactions have been pure blessings because I have enjoyed being in relationship with some and others have been mixed blessings because I have found that some people can be hard to interact with no matter how well you might treat them and try to love them, let alone li...

It is another wonderful Wednesday, a day that we call HOPE Wednesday when at 6:30pm, Zion Memorial gathers for the Hour Of Power and Encouragement.

I do not know about you; but, I sometimes need some more of God's power and encouragement from God and God's people.

Why?  Because life gets hard sometimes and the hardest part can be when I try my best and fail.

Failure, not succeeding, is a part of life; but, some people are...

Dr. Kim Pemberton of WSSU will be at Zion Memorial on Thursday at 6pm for the rescheduled parent meeting associated with the IRISE Academy tutorial program.

As a reminder, it is for students in K-5th grade.

Thank God for this opportunity and come support this initiative at Zion Memorial.

Be blessed,

Rev. Cain

My Zion Memorial Church Family,

What a wonderful start we have had to 2020.  It was such a blessing to have great attendance at church conference to share how God has blessed us over the past year and see the ways in which we are purposing to continue our blessings into 2020.  2019 was not easy but it was a blessing.  I prophetically decree that 2020 will also be a blessing...even if it is not easy.

As I spoke at Watch...

We have nearly completed the first month of the new year of 2020.  Wow!!!  Is it just me or does it seem like time is speeding up?  But, perhaps as is said, "Time flies when you are having fun."  While all that we are going through is not fun, I hope and pray that you are experiencing joy.

Sometimes, problems in life can seem overwhelming and I do emphasize SEEM because we know that we are of...

We are approaching the last Sunday in January.  One month is nearly gone.  Eleven are in front of us.  I hope and pray that you are experiencing God's 2020 blessings in your life.  And, I hope and pray that you continue to experience God anew as He refreshes, restores, and revives you again and again into the new life that we are promised if we will trust, believe, and obey Him.

It is sometimes hard to li...

We have had a wonderful start to the new year.  God has blessed us each Sunday with someone choosing to become a part of the church family.  I hope and pray that you will embrace them, love them, and encourage them.  As sure as God, the saints and the angels in Heaven were rejoicing, Satan and the demons in Hell were plotting on how they can snatch those who have come away from us.

To hold on to those who God...

I must ask for your forgiveness as this Wednesday Word is being received on a Thursday.  Simply put, getting myself and my family back on the regular schedule at the beginning of the year caused me to miss out on doing something I committed to doing years ago.  And, I am truly sorry.

Being able to ask for forgiveness is something that I have learned to do on the regular as a child of God.  I know God forgives me wh...

My dear Zion Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Family,

I am typing this message to you less than an hour before the new year of 2020 will begin.  In a little while, my family and I will kneel together and pray in the new year with hearts expecting for God to bless us greatly in 2020 as He did in 2019.

While it would be common to wish you a Happy New Year, I think, as a Christian, it may be more appropriate to pray that you will...

My Zion Memorial Church Family,

It was such a joy to see so many of you at worship service yesterday.  I pray that our coming together is always a blessing for you.

I want to encourage each of you to come together as a church family tomorrow as we celebrate Watch Night at noon.

We will sing, testify and praise God for His blessings bestowed upon us in 2019 and thank Him for what He is going to do in, through and for us in 2020....
