Merry Christmas!!!

My beloved church family,

It is EARLY on Christmas Day and I am up like when I was a small child running into Aunt Alma’s and Uncle June’s bedroom in Chattanooga, Tennessee asking, “Is it time yet?” anticipating when I could go into the living room and open my presents.

Now, I am anticipating the joy that I will prayerfully see on the faces of others throughout this day as they, like when I was a small child, open their presents.

But, right now, I am so humbled and so full as I think of what this day truly represents, the birth of Jesus, the birth of the Christ, the birth of the greatest gift of all.

I pray you will have a phenomenally fantastic, amazingly memorable, and incredibly impactful day as you celebrate our Lord and Savior’s birth on this day in the way that you and your family choose.

We are so blessed in so many ways. May we never take these blessings for granted as we should recall that all good and perfect gifts come from God.

So, as you go through the day, remember Jesus, smile, and just say, “Thank you Jesus”, for, without Christ, there would be no Christmas.

That fact should not rob your day of any richness. It should actually make the day so much more meaningful.

For, it is because of this day, along with Good Friday and Easter, that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves each one of us and we should love each other too!

So, remember, God loves you and I love you too!
